We ate at Kumori at La Plaza Mall for the first time on June 10, 2026 at around 1:30 pm, and the fried rice was SO GOOD! So was the Mayo shrimp. I could’ve eaten two servings of both by myself. We went again on June 14, 2026 and were SO disappointed. The rice and noodles were cold, the Mayo shrimp was so soaked with grease I got sick from my stomach. I won’t eat here again. The other Asian food at the opposite side of that wall in the food court is my go to from now on.

I recently ordered the two protein box meal, with Dynamite chicken and kumori shrimp. The shrimp had excessive batter that it was not enjoyable to eat, and the dynamite chicken had a strange Korean gochujang flavor and was a bit salty. I also ordered the kumori rice upgrade with the meal and paid extra and they gave me regular fried rice, which tasted fine. I wouldn't order from here again, but if I had to I would just stick to one of the kumori restaurants.

The guy at counter wanted me to put a review as soon as I got there but I wouldn't unless I tried it first. I got a fried sushi. It looked so good. However, once I started eating it I noticed it wasn't very flavorful, the shrimp was mushi, the avocado used on it was old and I couldn't even taste the Philadelphia cheese in it. Im not the type to leave a bad review but they could have totally done a better job.

The servers were extremely nice and helpful. The food looks very appealing, however when you bite into it, you get 80 percent breading.

Very disappointed. NEVER going back, go if you want to be talked down to by the cashier. We ordered two sushi rolls (paid $28) and were only given one set of sauces (spicy mayo, red sauce, and soy sauce). Went back to ask for other set of sauces for second roll i paid for and the guy says “you know you can just ask for them right?, here I’ll EVEN give you two” Gee thanks, maybe include them how you should have in the first place, or is management asking yall to skimp on stuff? Watch how they make the sushi’s, look how I got the Chester Roll Go if you want to get scammed
